Penny Gratitude
An easy practice of gratitude for our life. Get a pen and paper and do a wee bit of math. Take your age and subtract it from 75, then take that sum and multiply it with 52 ( the number of weeks in a year). This final sum will be how many Saturdays you may have until you reach 75 years of age. Mine looks like this 75 - (58) = 17, (17) x 52 = (884). You will asked to collect your number's worth of something....pennies, marbles, buttons, pebbles, et. Each week you will remove one of your (marbles) from the container you keep them in and reflect on how you spent your week. If you spent the week well and have mostly positive reflections, well done. If your week was less than optimal, no worries, hopefully you have the next week to make it better. This is a practice of awareness and how we spend our lives and weeks, in the knowledge we will never get those weeks back again. Living in awareness and gratitude may actually prolong the quality of your life. Namaste
